I got to enjoy Boston this April while Abby worked her tail off! She shaved over 20 minutes off her previous time in her second Boston Marathon - an incredible feat. Cheers to also finishing fundraising for the Natick Community Organic Farm early - with a generous total of $4,701 going to the teen programs.
Meanwhile, I got to do the fun stuff: visiting the finish line, cheering for hours, the Fenway after-party. It was my cousin's first time at a marathon so we yelled and screamed and clapped at the top of Heartbreak Hill until our voices broke and hands blistered.
Also on this trip, we celebrated Easter, Mike's and my engagement, my 29th birthday, and visited bridal boutiques. Sorry, no photos, in case Mike ever realizes I have a blog.
This trip marks the first time(s) I got to interact closely with Theo, cat seen below. The photo of Lee shows off her dirt nose from army-crawling under the deck, a hobby of hers. The happy flowering plant is bloodroot, a native medicinal species my mum rescued from a friend's house that was being sold. United Plant Savers has written a profile on this gorgeous plant (fyi: do not eat it!). It was fun to travel back in the season and revisit early spring in New England!
